Meaning of name: Deceptive lizard.

Species: A. louisae, named after Louise Carnegie, wife of Andrew Carnegie.

Classification: Saurischia, Sauropodomorpha, Sauropoda, Diplodocidae, Apatosaurinae.

Time: Kimmeridgian to Tithonian stages of the late Jurassic.

Distribution: USA, Colorado, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming.

Length: 20-23m, a few specimens indicate a maximum length of 11-30% greater.
